A client of mine came to me today pointing out that when he opened a document library in Windows Explorer, only a few pieces of metadata are displayed such as the filename and modified date. He wanted to see the other metadata fields while in Windows Explorer. Here’s how to get them.
First, go to the document library.
Next, open it with Windows Explorer from the Actions menu.

When Windows Explorer opens, click “View”, then “Choose Details…”
Now you can choose to display any metadata column that the list exposes!
Isn’t that handy?
